Teddy Bear

The second naming (renaming step) is more specific and deeper. For example, life could turn into growth.

The third naming (reframing step) is precise. It is going deeper again into your internal subconscious, bringing out a meaningful word that is connected to you.

This process you should see a progression from your first word to your third. Each of these connect together and relate meaning, in this moment, for you.

  1. Noticing his hands over his eyes and linking that to shame and wanting to be invisible so that I’m free from judgement was helpful because I have felt that way many times .

    1. Thank you for your feedback. I used to know that feeling too. It is awful, but one that can be overcome. Hopefully you were able to find a positive action that brings an internal self-belief that ‘shame’ is no longer yours to carry. The teddy may need to lower the hands and become more visible. Perhaps in reaching out and helping others, the visibility grows your confidence.
